Strathkyle Lodge is in the heart of the Highlands with exclusive access to the 200 acres of wooded grounds surrounding the Victorian hunting lodge but is yet only just over an hour from Inverness and its airport.
The estate has access to a further 4,000 acres which covers a four mile stretch on the Kyle of Sutherland. There is a mixture of forestry, significant stretches of water meadow, rough pasture and moorland. This allows for shooting and fishing.
The Lodge has been home to a range of historic and aristocratic figures. See the Willis-Fleming Historical Trust for a 1930s view. The estate today is still laid out as then.
The Gatehouse is in a secluded position amongst the trees with views up to the mountains above.
The traditional stone-built Gatehouse offers two delightful sitting rooms, one of which has a beautiful open fire. There is also a dining room and fully fitted kitchen; together with drying room, utility room, shower and a separate toilet on the ground floor. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms and
a bathroom.
Amenities include television and a dvd player (with wide selection of DVDs), fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer and Total Control electric central heating.
